Trey Cole is a former Pepperdine University standout libero and current consultant entering his second season with the University of Texas volleyball program. At Pepperdine, Trey was a Freshman All-American, an MPSF All-Freshman selection, and a three-time MPSF Defensive Player of the Week. Over four years, he became one of the Waves’ most reliable defenders, recording 449 digs across 70 matches and establishing himself as one of the top liberos in the MPSF.
Beyond college, Trey earned a spot on the U.S. Men’s U21 National Training Team and was twice selected to the USA Volleyball A1 Red Team, further solidifying his reputation as one of the nation’s premier defensive specialists. He also worked with the USA Women’s National Team during the summers of 2023 and 2024, gaining valuable experience at the highest level of international play.

As a trainer, Trey emphasizes discipline, detail, and consistency. He focuses on serve receive, floor defense, and ball control, while also developing the mental side of the game—teaching athletes how to compete with resilience and confidence at the highest levels.
Trey is passionate about giving back to the sport and mentoring the next generation of players, helping them bridge the gap between raw talent and elite performance.
